What you’ll do
CrossBoundary Energy is recruiting full-time Investment Analysts and Associates to support our Investment team. As a member of the team, you will contribute to all fundraising, project due diligence and investment, portfolio management and risk mitigation workstreams.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Fundraising: Preparation of group-level equity and debt capital raising materials and processes, including corporate and project finance models, presentations, investment memoranda, and due diligence Q&A
  • Strategic due diligence and investment: Assessment of corporate and project investment opportunities, alignment with portfolio objectives, return requirements, and risk appetite
  • Project development: Analysis of economics and risks within project development, power purchase, procurement, and operations contracts, to support the Business Development team
  • Portfolio management: Maintenance of portfolio models and tracking of investment performance metrics
  • Group and project structuring: Portfolio and project-level tax, capital and corporate structuring, to deliver optimal economic outcomes
  • Inorganic growth: Analysis and execution of project and corporate M&A initiatives
  • Investor management: Preparation of investor updates and engagement materials
  • Risk mitigation: Identification and mitigation of investment risks
Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous tenure at any of the following (Analyst: 1-2 years, Associate: 3-5 years):
    • An energy, infrastructure or project finance team of top-tier investment or commercial bank or Big 4 professional services firm
    • A specialist financial advisory firm or investor focused on energy / infrastructure
    • The investment team at a successful energy developer
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate/project finance, financial modelling, due diligence, investment analysis, fundraising, and/or transaction execution
  • Experience in or understanding of African markets, particularly in the energy sector
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage multiple, complex workstreams and interact with broad stakeholder groups
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Location / Travel
Our preferred locations are Nairobi, Kenya, and London, United Kingdom. Some infrequent travel will be required.
