We are looking for a Stock Controller to join our Retail Department as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.
As a Stock Controller at M-KOPA, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock management and reconciliation within the retail department. You will manage stock allocation for sales, support stock audits, and oversee the tracking and return of inventory to the warehouse. In this role, you will handle customer interactions, resolve product issues, and facilitate in-warranty repairs. You’ll also ensure that the depot is maintained in excellent condition while providing daily reports on stock status to ensure transparency and accountability in all stock-related activities.
Main Responsibilities
Sales Team Support
Support sales of Upgrade Phones
Issuing and allocating stock and sales material to sales team
Offer any support that the sales team requires
Performing reverse logistics on behalf of the sales team
Stock Management
Receiving stock
Issuance of stock to customers and sales team working in the shop
Reverse logistics for returns on a strict schedule without a miss
Tracking inventory movement and issuance, ensuring it is up to date
Customer Service and Diagnostics
Supporting customer phone repairs through M-KOPA elected repair partners
Giving M-KOPA standard customer experience to all customers who walk into the shop, attending to all their requests
Performing device swaps and cancellations
Requirements
Education:
Diploma/Degree, tertiary training in customer service
Experience:
Working in front office, customer care, or sales
Computer knowledge
Required Skills:
Must be ready to serve dutifully in a field with dynamic requirements
Excellent people relations skills with empathy and patience
Good in written, spoken, and informal communication; must be a good listener who is happy to give relevant information to customers
