Senior People Partner - Ghana

Shape Africa's Digital Transformation Through Strategic People Leadership

You've spent years building your reputation as a strategic HR partner in a leading multinational. You've influenced C-suite decisions through workforce analytics, architected talent strategies that delivered measurable business outcomes, and navigated the complexities of scaling high-growth organizations across diverse markets. Now, imagine applying that expertise to Africa's most exciting fintech transformation story.

M-KOPA is revolutionizing financial inclusion across Africa, and our Ghana operation sits at the heart of this expansion. We need a Senior People Partner who sees beyond traditional HR boundaries—someone who operates as a true strategic advisor to our Ghana leadership while driving global people excellence initiatives that span multiple African markets.

This isn't about managing HR processes. This is about being the strategic voice that shapes how we scale from serving millions to tens of millions of everyday earners across the continent. You'll partner directly with our Ghana General Manager and Markets HR Director, translating business ambitions into people strategies that accelerate our growth trajectory. Your insights will inform investment decisions, market expansion plans, and the organizational design that enables us to maintain excellence at scale.

The role demands someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll architect talent frameworks that identify and develop the leaders who will drive Ghana's next phase of growth. You'll use sophisticated people analytics to predict organizational needs before they emerge, ensuring we're always ahead of our scaling curve. You'll design performance systems that balance local market dynamics with group-wide excellence standards, all while navigating the rich complexity of Ghana's business environment and regulatory landscape.

Your experience partnering with senior leadership in complex, matrixed organizations has prepared you for this moment. You understand how to influence without authority, how to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, and how to translate people priorities into language that resonates in boardrooms. You've successfully implemented people strategies across multiple countries or regions, and you appreciate the nuance required to balance global consistency with local relevance.

What makes this opportunity unique is the direct line of sight between your work and real-world impact. Every talent decision you make, every organizational capability you build, directly enables financial access for millions of Ghanaians who have been excluded from traditional financial systems. You're not optimizing for shareholder value alone—you're building the people infrastructure that powers Africa's digital economy transformation.

Someone with years of progressive HR experience, as a strategic partner to senior leadership in fast-growth, complex organizations will align well with the business need. To bring deep expertise in people analytics, organizational development, and talent management. This coupled with navigating cross-cultural complexity, supported distributed teams across time zones, and having a sophisticated understanding of African labour practices, particularly in Ghana and broader West/East African markets.

Your data-driven approach means you measure everything that matters, but your business acumen means you know which metrics actually drive decisions. You're equally comfortable presenting workforce planning scenarios to the board as you are coaching a first-time manager through a difficult conversation. Change management isn't just a competency for you—it's how you've consistently delivered transformation in previous roles.

This is a senior leadership position that offers unprecedented scope to shape both Ghana's growth story and M-KOPA's broader people excellence agenda across all our markets. You'll collaborate with exceptional teams across the continent, contributing to a culture that values innovation, inclusion, and relentless focus on customer impact.

If you're ready to move beyond traditional strategic business partnering into a role where your expertise directly enables Africa's economic transformation, this conversation starts now.

Join us in building the people infrastructure that powers financial inclusion for millions.
