Job title: Junior Project Coordinator

Reports to: Executive secretary

Location: Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) – remote work position possible

CLUB-ER is a Pan-African network organisation seeking to immediately hire an organised, motivated and detail-oriented junior project coordinator to join our team. This individual will provide high-level administrative support to CLUB-ER as well as technical support to the delivery of the “Growing Government Engagement in Energy Access – GGEEA” project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the executive secretary and key internal (members, direct beneficiaries and administrative partner) and external partners (funders, institutions and other stakeholders).
  • Responsible for calendar management of CLUB-ER executive secretary, including scheduling meetings and events, and booking locations as needed.
  • Support the delivery of the GGEEA project including supporting tracking of activities in work plan, ensuring project delivery is in line with policies and procedures of partner and funder institutions, and supporting administration of funds (e.g. managing supporting financial documentation).
  • Organize meetings including drafting invitations, proposed agenda and minutes, etc.
  • Support the planning for training activities (online/in-person), workshops and seminars.
  • Create and edit internal and external correspondence for multiple stakeholders – newsletter.
  • Supporting in compiling documentation and evidence to support donor reporting.
  • Moderating social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X)
  • Manage website.
  • Represent the executive secretary if appropriate.
  • Promote CLUB-ER’s activities.

Additional, education, qualifications and requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification related to energy access or related subject.
  • Enthusiasm for CLUB-ER’s mission and energy access goal, with prior experience in energy-related fields.
  • Proven track record to delivery on tasks
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter.
  • Equipped with a computer (desktop/laptop) with a reliable internet connection
  • Flexible and able to meet changing work needs and demands.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Google Suite including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms.
  • Familiarity using with SurveyMonkey, Doodle and MailChimp is a definite plus
  • Excellent web and technology skills and comfortable troubleshooting tech issues.
  • Able to learn new technical / IT skills as needed.
  • Experience managing social media platforms.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Hours and working conditions:

  • Fixed term and full-time.
  • 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
  • Based in your country (remote) / Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), with frequent travel
